Providing Treatment for Dogs

There are a number of things that we can do in order to treat dog worms. Nevertheless, the very first thing that we must do whenever we spot any of these symptoms in our pets is to contact immediately our veterinarian. It is important to collect a sample of their stool or waste products and take it to the vet in order for it to be examined. The stool sample can help the vet decide and identify the type of worm that has infected the dog as well as the severity of the condition. These worms can sometimes be visible in their stool once their condition is already considered severe. As soon as the doctor has made the diagnosis, we can now proceed in administering the proper treatment under the supervision and prescription of the veterinarian. Usually, vets prescribe anti-parasitic medications in order to help get rid of the worms from the dog’s body. However, there are also some home remedies that we can use in order to help treat the dog’s condition. Below are some of the steps in doing these remedies.
Aside from medications and/or drugs, we can also try grinding pumpkin seeds in addition to 10 to 15 pounds of dog food as our pet’s main meal every day for two weeks. After the said duration, we can now replace it with wheat bran that is soaked in water. We can also try grinding parsley in ¼ cup of water and cook it for at least 3 minutes. Once done, we can now strain the herb and freeze it. A teaspoon of this can be given to the dog once every day. A capsule of cayenne pepper is also useful if added to the dog’s daily meal. Grinded deeds of citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits and limes can also be an effective agent against these intestinal parasites. 1 to 2 cloves of garlic is also good for dogs with this kind of condition. This will help clear out all the worms naturally and as well as increase the dog’s immunity against other diseases. Clove pods also contain anti parasitic properties that can work against these intestinal worms. Feeding the dog with fennel and wormwood can also aid in the fast and easy expulsion of the worms from the system.
These are just some of the things that we can do in order to help treat these dog worms and make life more comfortable to our pets. Taking these parasites for granted is something that we should never do since they can not only affect the dog’s behavior and mood, but it can also cause more complications in their health, which can possibly cause them their lives.
