Exhibition at Grand Trianon Palace

Fashion designers gleamed in the razzle-dazzle of lavish setting at Grand Trianon on Thursday night, witnessing a spectacular exhibition of the influence of 18th-century France on contemporary fashion.

Fashion moguls including, Jean Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaia, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, Giambattista Valli, Vivienne Westwood, Kris Van Assche, Dries Van Noten and Nathalie Rykiel were present at the grand event to celebrate and cherish the historical surroundings with fashion.

The romantic setting of Trianon Palace reflects the fashion and aesthetics of 18th-century France. Talking about the place with excitement, Valli said, . “I love it here. Whenever I want to escape Paris, I come to the Trianon Palace hotel and sleep for three days, and then come and walk here, so I always feel very relaxed here,”

The exhibition featured some master pieces of each brand including a deep red leather coat by Gaultier, which was inspired by an antique book, Balenciaga pieces and many things that reflected culture, beauty and artistry.
The grand exhibition ended with a bouquet of fireworks over the Palace’s moonlit gardens!
