Scattered thunderstorm/rain is expected over Kashmir Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi divisions while isolated rain may also occur over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Punjab and northeast Balochistan. Locals of Nasirabad District of Balochistan are protesting against 20-hour loadshedding in the area.
Some areas and roads of Faisalabad and other adjoining areas have immersed in rainwater due to persistent rains.
Pleasant weather was reported in Sargodha, Jhang and Multan and several other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after drizzling along with cold breeze.
On the other hand, the two provinces Sindh and Balochistan continued to face hot and dry weather while the rift between KESC and labour union resulted in extended hours of loadshedding and power breakdowns.
According to Met department report on Friday, yesterday's trough of westerly wave over Kashmir and adjoining areas continues to persist, while a seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Moist current from Arabian Sea is reaching Punjab up to 5000 feet, it was stated.
Meanwhile, River Kabul at Noshera and River Ravi at Balloki were in Low flood.
