Roof collapse traps people at Dutch football stadium: Police

Part of a roof collapsed at the FC Twente football stadium in eastern Netherlands on Thursday, trapping an unknown number of people, a Dutch police spokesman said.

There was no match at the stadium at the time, Lamberts said. Dutch media reported that construction work was underway at the time of the collapse.

Rescue workers on the scene were freeing those trapped underneath the rubble, Dutch news agency ANP reported, saying a helicopter was on the scene to treat the injured.
