Ahead of the Curve: Weekly pop culture cheat sheet

  We are so ready for season 4 of "True Blood," we've counted off the top 10 reasons why we're hooked.
The vampy fun begins again tonight at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. Don't forget to check back here Monday for a recap of the season premiere.
Here's what else you shouldn't miss this week:

Sunday
  • Chris Brown leads the nominations at this year's BET Awards with six, followed by Lil Wayne with five nods and Rihanna, Drake and Kanye West tied with four nominations each. See which stars take the win tonight when the 2011 BET Awards airs live on BET at 8 p.m. ET.
  • Season four of "Leverage" also premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
Monday
  • Speaking of season premieres, there are two coming to Showtime tonight: Another season of "Weeds" begins at 10:05  p.m. ET (following "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"), followed by the return of "The Big C" at 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday
  • Beyonce' s back with her newest album, "4" - will it give us one of the songs of the summer?
  • If you're a fan of Vanessa Hudgens, we've got two DVD releases just for you: both "Beastly" and "Sucker Punch" are available today.
Wednesday
  • Even director Michael Bay thought the second installment of the "Transformers" franchise was a flop, but Shia LaBeouf swears that "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is better. See for yourself when it opens in theaters today.
Friday
  • Tom Hanks has been causing a bit of a ruckus on his promo tour for "Larry Crowne," which lands in theaters today. Co-starring Julia Roberts, Hanks plays a middle-aged man who loses his job and finds out that it's never too late to learn something new.
  • Also in theaters today is "Monte Carlo," starring Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy as three young women who find themselves swept away to Monte Carlo after one of them is mistaken for a British heiress.
