Secretary Health Punjab Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan has directed administration of public sector hospitals to ensure optimum use of information technology for hospital management. He said this during a visit to the Services Hospital here on Wednesday. He said the computerized hospital management system of Services Hospital Lahore might be adopted as a model.
He was informed that the entire system of hospital was computerized and it could be checked any time which doctor examined the patient and what medicine was prescribed.
Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Javed informed that all medicines issued from the pharmacy with the thumb impression of concerned doctor. He informed the record of every patient in the hospital had been computerized and all wards including accidental and emergency department had been interlinked with this system. (APP)
