Sanjay Leela Bhansali walks out on Govinda!

According to reports, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansalimade a quick exit when he saw actor Govinda enter a public function venue. The two were guests at the opening of a dance school and his exit was captured by the channels present there. It was reported that the animosity went a long way back when the actor refused to play Chunnilal in Bhansali’s Devdas, saying he didn’t want to play second fiddle to actor Shah Rukh Khan. The role was finally done by actor Jackie Shroff, but the filmmaker apparently never forgave Govinda for it.
The filmmaker, in view of the recent incident, deniesit through his spokesperson. “He is shocked by the conjecture his exit has led to. It was never intentional,”says a source close to Bhansali.
Bhansali apparently described his exit on actor Govinda’s entry as “purely coincidental”. There have been reports of tiffs with other actors before, but Bhansali never tried to clarify, he, however, seems to have made an exception with the Govinda incident.
Bhansali’s friend also claimed that he was not aware of the actor’s entry, and had to leave due to a pressing engagement. Others believe that Bhansali wants to keep away from controversies and instead mend bridges with his former colleagues.
